I wonder if they’ll try something interesting in Europe. EasyJet does connections through their Dohop partners/investment. Good for consumers if 3 networks became four.

A bit of spit balling here, but I think the only way WN can do this without joining an alliance/JV/merging with a U.S. airline that already does this flying is to find airports that are desperate for transatlantic service to bank on revenue guarantees.

Alot of people are throwing out BWI which I think is a damn near guarantee, but I am not so sold on Austin/Nashville/Denver emerging as leading candidates. I think the SkyTeam JV will blanket any and all announcements from Austin, and Nashville is already heavily served by the OneWorld JV + the new Air France nonstop. Denver also has the altitude challenges that make TATL economics very challenging.

Meanwhile, the folks at SAT have a new Terminal coming online with 6 wide body capable gates and no one to use them. They have chased a nonstop to London for years now, and are likely desperate to get a TATL flight on the board watching Austin get its 4th with the new Delta CDG route.

So my prediction are three flights to London-Gatwick Summer 2028: Nashville, Baltimore, and San Antonio.
