@ Proximanova -- I love your passion for this, what a fun story! So happy to hear you got to experience Qatar Airways' premium products, and talk about quite a booking process. Here's to many more such experiences!
Excellent review, Proximanova! Glad you finally made it to Europe, and hope you had a nice time in Greece (opa!) Always nice to experience true-Q-Suite, and also mini-Q-Suite (789). The lounges at DOH are indeed, impressive (the Garden even has that little gym inside). Very clever using the various promotions to enhance your itinerary (especially that change on your return via CMB).
Wow, you've really gotten around elsewhere in Asia as well, successfully leveraging other epic redemptions (SQ F, any route, isn't an easy task). When I read in your intro, "one of India’s top business schools," I must say, I did think of "My name is Nathan Fielder, and I graduated from one of Canada's top business schools with really good grades." I donno if you'll get the reference, but I mean it as a compliment. Anyway, looking forward to reading more of your stuff!
Really great story here Proximanova! Seems like a really great combination of award and cash bookings. Having spent two weeks traveling around Europe, perhaps you may have other hotel and/or destination-related travel experiences to share?
Awesome review, I enjoyed learning about your routings! I love that you elected to see Eastern Europe first instead of somewhere traditional like Paris! Impeccable detail too, thanks for sharing.
@Proximanova, Wow and Congrats! Good to see someone get a great redemption for QR Suites. As an AAdvantage Platinum I have tried to redeem my AAdvantage miles to gift my in laws a Qsuites experience around the thanksgiving holidays from LHR - BOM but no such luck. In fact, I couldn’t find any Club World seats or World traveler, World traveler plus seats (BA Economy, economy plus) either despite seeing 3 daily flights available for booking with cash. Something for people like @Ben to write about to AAdvantage leadership team to make the loyalty points more usable as currency across partner and other OW premium airlines.
Great job on nailing those redemptions! Hope you enjoyed your flights (quite the itinerary, too!) and I welcome future posts.
Very nice review. I appreciated that you included the duration of each flight, not just the departure/arrival times.
in fact, I never set foot outside Asia until last month
At least you admit that you've been lying about your so wow ANA and JAL first class trips and many others around the globe.
Now that AeroB13a is gone and you seemingly trying or at least acting to change, the beef can finally be over now.
Of course, that begins with you dropping your former Air India apologist and Japan glazer personas, in addition to telling Ben what to do as if you owe something from him.
