As it relates to the KLM Delft Blue Houses post from today, earlier this year (May 2026), in commemoration of 80 years since beginning Amsterdam to NYC service, there was an event and a Delft Blue House pop-up exhibit at the New York Historical Society in NYC (near Central Park). They had 15 Houses on-display, including: 1, 11, 16, 27, 33, 52, 70, 73, 75, 85, 90, 100, 103, 104, 106, each corresponding a year in which a major KLM event occurred. For instance, #33 is for year 1953, “the year KLM first introduced the iconic Delft Blue miniature houses, given as a gift to World Business Class passengers.” They also had some on-board menus, magazines (the Holland Herald), a section on the evolution of the business class seat (from recliners to lie-flat), and something on SAF (alternative aviation fuels). It was free, so I stopped-in for a look. (The only reason I even knew about the exhibit was that Gary had mentioned it.)
