My wife can't get approve with any Citi credit cards yet. Is that mean I can add her as employee, spend on credit card, and get loyalty points post to her AAdvantage account instead of mine?

Would be better if it was a card that earned credit card points as opposed to airline points that are often devaluing.

Hi Ben,
I posted this to your original article last year but wasn't sure you'd get it since that article is much older.
When I read this article, I got excited for the possibilities, so I applied and received the Citi Business MC in Feb 2026 and have been placing all spending on my wife's Citi Biz MC. I know the literature says 8-10 weeks to see the LPs for the Primary (me), but I get anxious about how honestly AA is executing this promotion. Did your Double-Dip Strategy work out? And did it really take 8-10 weeks before you saw the LPs hit your primary account?

For me, the double LP's normally hit the primary account. 3-4 days after they post to the employee account.

No it's even better. You BOTH get loyalty points when you add her as an AU and run all the spend thru her card. You both end up with LP and the miles earned sits in a business account that can transfer to her or anyone else attached to the business profile.

Like the UR points and Bilt points that just got devalued with the Hyatt transfer ratio? Or AMEX points doung the same with their reduced ratio to cathay and Emirates? They all devalue.
