Why Is American Airlines Suddenly Sucking Up To President Trump?

I work for a business in whose leadership has heavily lobbied the current occupant of the WH to try to mitigate the potential impacts of his policies because those impacts could be quite catastrophic. One should assume any leader is either kissing up to steer business their way or mitigating negative impacts. I doubt anyone singing the praises of the current occupant is doing so because they genuinely believe what they are saying. This is probably always true but obviously true now.

Sucking up to a tyrant, for whatever "motivation", is a clear sign of character. Or lack of it...
