Yes, think of the "hundreds of dollars" Alaska Airlines will make! Thought of Alaska's deal with Porter (decent Porter Reserve redemptions via Alaska). For now, this looks like just cash purchases, not redeeming Alaska points on Breeze (MX) metal. At least you can earn Atmos on MX flights; I'd like to think Atmos are more valuable than Breezy Rewards. Some compliment their on-board service as 'how Southwest used to be.' Haven't tried them yet, though maybe I should. They fly all a220, which has the 2-3 configuration for 'Nice' (economy), and do have 2-2 recliners for 'Nicest' (first). Usually good to have more options as consumers.
Some like ABBA - - some might like AABA.
Neelzebub injected a mind-altering evil parasite into Ben's brain. It's the only explanation.
This is brilliant! Business travelers who prefer Alaska can now earn miles where the routes/timings fit while avoiding American. They also can avoid hubs. Alaska gets more revenue. Breeze gets more revenue. The planes are fuller. I wonder if other mainline carriers will follow suit and begin a limited sales partnership with Breeze.
Why not?
Does Alaska get to sell gov rates if they interline?
E.g. to military bases in CHS, ORF, JAX on the east coast... SAN, LAS, ANC, HNL on the west coast?
One might think there might be a future "integration" aka merger
Neeleman's practice of route churn has only so much yield.
The interline agreement is another means to pump the top & bottom line for his impending IPO.
Could there be a tie-in to corporate revenue/contracts/volume given Boeing's presence in Charleston?
