It was so nice to spend time with the BECU team (you all brought the energy!) and talk with CEO Beverly Anderson at their annual Day of Purpose in Seattle. It turns out “Do the right thing” is one of the values that Alaska Airlines and BECU have in common, and I think you see that in the way our teams take care of our customers. As our organizations grow, that means empowering our people to make the right call in the moment, knowing leaders have their back.

  • We were proud to be a sponsor for Bloomberg Green at New York Climate Week, where our Managing Director of Sustainability, Ryan Spies, joined the conversation about the future of sustainable aviation fuel. After the event, Ryan caught up with Bloomberg Live to share how Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines are working to help scale SAF for the future. Achieving the scale needed to put aviation on a lower-carbon flight path will take continued investment, innovation and collaboration across the industry. Hear what Ryan had to say in the video below.

  • Last week, we brought our vision for a stronger, more resilient and globally connected airline to life at our Global Training Center. From Aurora and Leihōkū to Premium Reserve and new lounge investments, the event offered an exciting look at how we’re building a global, premium and diversified future while creating even more remarkable experiences for our guests. Our team members were at the heart of it all, joining immersive experiences, connecting with leaders and coming together for an exclusive town hall. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible and to all who joined us for this exciting look at what’s ahead. We’re just getting started! More here: https://lnkd.in/eFf_XnjR

  • Customer Service Appreciation Week is a chance to recognize the people who bring care, kindness and consideration to every interaction and Cory, a Customer Care Coach on our Guest Services team, is a wonderful example. As a recent Alaska Legend Award recipient, Cory shows what remarkable service looks like in action: supporting teammates, caring for guests and living our Shared Values every day. Watch her story below.

It’s been an exciting week with the unveiling of our future premium products across Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. I’m particularly looking forward to Aurora and Leihōkū — our new flagship premium travel experiences that start with an exclusive lounge experience and continue onboard with lie-flat Aurora and Leihōkū Suites. We wanted every part of the journey to feel more seamless, comfortable and connected for our guests, from the moment they arrive at the airport to the moment they land, and Aurora and Leihōkū help us achieve that vision. Here’s a peek at some of the new things coming for the Aurora experience. And you can get a closer look at what’s coming next across all brands:  https://lnkd.in/gVdKyMjT

I think you're going to like what's next. Over the past two years, we've brought Alaska and Hawaiian together, launched Atmos Rewards™ and expanded our global network, all while running the most on-time airline in the U.S. Today, we're unveiling the next chapter in our plan. For Alaska Airlines, it’s Aurora – our highest expression of the brand and an end-to-end premium experience spanning private check-in, Lounges, dining and lie-flat Suites. We’re bringing Aurora Suites to our 787s and, for the first time, a true suite-style experience to transcontinental flying on at least 25 new 737-10s. For Hawaiian Airlines, it’s Leihōkū – the most elevated expression of the Hawaiian Airlines brand. Guests will have dedicated check-in and access to a new Lounge in Honolulu, redesigned cabins on our entire A330 fleet including new lie-flat Leihōkū Suites, plus dining and amenities. There’s much more in today’s announcements, including Premium Reserve, new Lounges and more ways to engage with Atmos Rewards. We plan to raise the experience no matter which seat you are in – through the care our teams provide, the food we serve, the technology we offer and all the details that add up along the way. It’s a transformational moment, and I’m incredibly proud of our teams who are building it and delivering it.
