One Brooklyn establishment may want to rethink a moment like this.

Kelly Clarkson took to X (formerly Twitter) Saturday to call out a store named Art of Play in Brooklyn for allegedly treating her like Julia Roberts’ iconic “Pretty Woman” character during a recent shopping excursion.

“Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me,” she shared.

“Wow, dude,” the “American Idol” winner continued, seemingly calling out a specific associate she’d interacted with. “You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale.”

Clarkson concluded her post by telling her 8.8 million followers on the social media platform: “But y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out 👎.”

Art of Play declined to comment when contacted via phone by Page Six Saturday.

The “Since U Been Gone” singer’s fans took to the replies to share their reaction to her upsetting shopping trip, with one responding, “As you were leaving, we hope you told him who you were 😂.”

“Wow! Imagine not knowing THE Kelly Clarkson,” a netizen wrote, with another adding, “Glad he didn’t waste your time. Unfortunately for him, he’s about to have a lot of free time.”

Some fans have even taken to the store’s business listing on Google, with one of the many new one-star reviews reading: “y’all mean to Kelly Clarkson? heck no.”

Many of Clarkson’s followers made the same joke about the situation, pointing to the memorable moment from 1990’s “Pretty Woman” when Roberts’ character — Vivian Ward, a Hollywood escort who falls in love with a wealthy client (Richard Gere’s Edward Lewis) — gets her revenge on a posh Rodeo Drive saleswoman.

Early on in the film, Vivian is treated poorly and is turned away by a rude and snobbish employee due to the way she is dressed, leaving her feeling humiliated.

Later, when she returns to the boutique looking elegant and carrying numerous shopping bags from other retailers, Vivian confronts the same employee — who confirms she works on commission — and tells her, “Big mistake. Big. Huge.”

According to the store’s website, Art of Play features a “unique collection of magical home goods, puzzles, games, toys and books” and boasts claims of being called “one of the most beautiful shops in New York City.”

Aside from their storefront, Art of Play has an “intimate 26-seat theatre” which “hosts performances from the best close-up magicians in the world,” per its site.
