Ben Affleck candidly detailed his and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner shared custody agreement for their three kids in rare co-parenting comments.

“I work hard, and then I go home and pick up the kids from school,” the “Gone Girl” star told Variety in an interview published Tuesday, referring to his kids, Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 14.

“We have dinner if they agree to hang out with me. They’re with me for a week, then with their mom for a week.”

Affleck, 54, who was married to Garner, 54, from 2005 to 2018, described his personal life as “really wonderful,” saying that he “has nothing salacious or all that interesting in [his] life.”

Elsewhere, the “Argo” star shared that his three kids are his main motivation to continue working in Los Angeles.

The actor explained he and his pal Matt Damon are trying to keep the City of Angels a major film hub through their Artists Equity production company. To continue their efforts, the duo recently started the Artists Equity Independent Pictures, a fund for next-generation indie filmmakers.

“I’m divorced, I have shared custody, and I don’t want to miss these years,” Affleck said.

“My kids are here, and their life is flying by,” he continued. “I don’t want to have to be in Shreveport or New Mexico in order to work.”

The “Good Will Hunting” star admitted he’s “fortunate” to decide whether he wants to work in California or elsewhere, saying that Los Angeles has “the best crews.”

The businessman is often spotted out with his kids on ice cream runs, school pickups and dinner outings around Los Angeles.

Most recently, Affleck took Fin and Violet out to dinner at Fia in Santa Monica, California, in August.

Despite being separated, Affleck and Garner have maintained an amicable relationship, often getting together for holidays and special occasions for their kids.

Affleck married Jennifer Lopez in 2022, but the two ultimately divorced and finalized their separation in 2025

The filmmaker gushed over the “Selena” star’s acting career to Variety, saying, “I’m biased. I have an enormous amount of respect and admiration for what she can do.”

Affleck, however, has yet to publicly date since the divorce, telling “Entertainment Tonight” earlier this month that it wasn’t a “big priority.”
