‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Layla Taylor debuts new girlfriend Kelsie Chesser on VRT Awards 2026 red carpet

“Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” personality Layla Taylor and girlfriend Kelsie Chesser made their red carpet debut at the “Virtual Reali-Tea” Awards 2026 on Tuesday.

The couple was pictured arm-in-arm at the New York City event, sponsored by Tri-State Cadillac, CoverGirl, Philo and Kahlúa, with Taylor wearing an asymmetrical floral corset dress with a pleated skirt and light blue strappy heels.

Chesser, on the other hand, sported a navy blue suit and black shoes for the occasion and accessorized with a simple gold necklace.

The reality star, 25, came out as bisexual in June, revealing that she was dating a woman — without disclosing Chesser’s identity.

“I’m gay and I’m bi and date women and men,” Taylor said on Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast.

At the time, she explained she was “talking to” an “emotionally aware” and “very patient” woman who had caught her attention after “liking” an Instagram photo.

“She’s just been very understanding and letting me take this at my own pace because it is just still foreign to me and it is so new. [It’s the] level of understanding and just being there for me,” the MomTok influencer explained.

Taylor also noted that coming out was “just something that [she] honestly didn’t really know how to formally address for a long period of [her] life.”

Now, she said, she’s “finally in the era” of feeling comfortable with “show[ing] every part of Layla to the world.”

By July, Taylor shared a first glimpse of her girlfriend with a clip of them holding hands that only showed her new partner’s tattooed arms.

“‘You’re glowing lately.’ Thanks I’m dating a woman now,” she wrote atop the clip, adding in the caption, “Chivalry isn’t dead it’s [with] the lesbians.”

Later that month, Taylor finally let fans in on her new girlfriend’s identity, as Chesser shared a TikTok video.

“When I slid into my girlfriend’s DMs just hoping she was into girls,” Chesser captioned the video, in which she sang along to Beyoncé’s “Partition.”

Taylor, who shares two young sons with ex-husband Clayton Wessel, rose to fame on the Utah-based reality show.

She was married to Wessel from 2020 to 2025.
