Information on opting-out of sales, sharing, and targeted advertising

Philo engages in online advertising practices (and certain analytics or similar activities) which may be considered a “sale,” “share,” or "targeted advertising" under certain U.S. state laws. You may opt out of activity that may be considered “sales,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under those state laws by following the instructions provided below.

Note that you will still receive advertising on Philo after you have opted out of “sales,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising," but it may not be targeted to your interests.

Customers with a Philo Account

If you’re signed into your Philo account and you’re watching Philo on a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari), follow the steps below to opt out.

  3. Click the link labeled “Your Privacy Choices” in the footer at the bottom of that page.

  4. Un-toggle (slide the toggle to the left) the Enable personalized ads setting as shown below.

Once you’ve adjusted the toggle, you’ll be opted out. If your account has more than one Profile, please note that this setting is managed on a per-Profile basis.

Once disabled, your settings have been updated. If your account has more than one user profile, please note that this setting is managed on a per-profile basis.

Customers without a Philo account (or who aren’t signed in)

If you don’t have a Philo account (or aren’t signed in), you may opt-out of activity that might be considered “sales,” “sharing,” or "targeted advertising" under state laws by adjusting the settings on your device or browser. Please note that your opt-out is specific to your device or browser.

Opt-out process for web browsers

If you’re watching on a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari), but aren’t signed into Philo, you can follow the steps below to opt out.

  2. Click Opt me out. You’ll see a confirmation once you’ve opted out.

Opt-out process for other devices

If you’re watching Philo on another device, click your device below for information on how to opt out on that device. We’ll pick up your opt-out preference on your device and apply it to your activity on Philo.

    3. Turn off Personalized Ads.

    1. Go to your device Settings.

    2. Click All Settings, and then click Admin & Privacy (or Privacy & Legal, depending on your device).

    3. Turn off Viewing Data.

    4. Go to Advertising and turn on Limited Ad Tracking.

    5. Restart your Vizio TV to apply the changes.
