Last weekend, three Starlight families got to experience a little of the magic behind the scenes at Brisbane Airport with Virgin Australia, meeting our teams, getting closer to our aircraft and stepping into the role of honorary crew members before continuing their Gold Coast Wish. Being named a finalist for Employer of Change at the 2026 Women in Technology Awards is recognition of something we care deeply about at Virgin Australia: creating an aviation industry where more women can see a career for themselves. We’re taking a whole-of-business approach across recruitment, leadership, culture and talent pathways, while working with schools, industry and community organisations to create more opportunities for women across aviation and STEM. We're pleased to have secured a sustainability-linked loan to help finance nine Boeing 737-8 aircraft in our existing pipeline, with four already delivered. Investing in newer aircraft helps support a more reliable and comfortable travel experience for our guests. Fleet renewal is also one of the most significant decarbonisation levers available to us today, with the Boeing 737-8 being approximately 20% more fuel efficient than the 737-800NG, helping to reduce fuel use and lower emissions intensity over time. The loan terms are linked to Virgin Australia achieving agreed sustainability performance targets around carbon emissions reduction. This connects our sustainability ambitions with practical commercial decisions, including how we fund our aircraft. We appreciate the collaboration of Crédit Agricole CIB and BNP Paribas in delivering this important transaction. #VirginAustralia
