Aberdeen

A fresh design that balances simplicity, soft, neutral background colors, plenty of whitespace and big nice typography.

List of features

•Standards-compliant XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS (No CSS hacks).
•Liquid CSS layout (tableless) - the whole layout increases or decreases proportionally as dimensions are specified in ems. Try changing the font size to see this working.
•Supports one, two and three columns.
••Cross-browser compatible. Works fine in Firefox 2.0 and IE 6.
•Cute icons (all GPL or created by myself).
•Coded with SEO in mind, the order of the columns are 2dn, 3rd and 1st - usually the 1st is intended for navigation, the other two for content, Google likes that.
•Slinding doors tabs for primary links that blend with main content area.

Adc

PHP-based theme created by Alastair Maw, featuring Javascript rollup feature for blocks. "Relatively clean CSS approach, making colour changes quite easy (although you'll need to edit the rollover expand/collapse graphics)."

Alek 2.0

Alek 2.0 is the next theme contribution, in series, by SEOposition.com. Based on amadou theme, it has a three-column(Content | Left Sidebar | Right Sidebar) layout, with three additional columns(block regions) just above the footer, giving you chance to place more of your blocks with less cluttering! The block(bottom) titles are iconed by default, however, you can anytime digg into the style sheet and easily change the icons to suit your needs!

Alek 2.0 provides most aspects of the layout themed to the classic but realistic fashion. A screen shot can explain better.

Amare

Fairly Simple theme, meant for a blog.

Andreas03

Port of the Andreas03 template by Andreas Viklund.

Fixed-width 2-column layout, built with speed and accessibility in mind.

The andreas03 template has a small file size, a simple layout for easy editing, good accessibility features and semantic markup.

Five small images have been used for the design, adding only 3 kilobytes to the template load size (which is approximately 12kb).

Antique Modern

This theme is a port of Antique Modern by wildleaf from oswd.org. The original theme can be found here:

This theme is fixed width; it supports only the right sidebar or no sidebar (it has slightly different modes if there is no sidebar). As a convenience the contents of the left sidebar are applied to the right.

Arc Materia Theme

This is a theme I created based on http://materia.infinitiv.it/.
This template is based on a work of James, original template is here

This theme requires the PHPTemplate theme engine.

This is a theme I created based on bradlis7.com.

It contains three themes: Blue, green, and brown.

Barron

What is red and black and white all over?
Barron is!

A two column layout that is Drupal 4.7.x and 5.x friendly.

Also includes the sub-theme "Barroness" which has the sidebar located on the left.

Looks great in Firefox, Safari, Konqueror, and Opera.
Looks kinda crappy in IE6 - but doesn't everything?!

Blue Bars Theme

This is a port of the "Blue Bars" theme found on www.openwebdesign.org. This is a fixed width 2 column layout. Definitely a minimalist design.

bluebreeze

The bluebreeze theme wants to combine style with good usability.

• It is based on the great .tpl-file structure of the zen theme.
• I tried to orient the whole theme on a usability point of view.
• I included some icons (all GPL or created by myself), because IMO icons, carefully used, can increase the usability and "sexyness" of a theme in a good and unobtrusive way.
• It's blue - because drupal is blue.

Bluemarine_smarty

Bluemarine_smarty is a conversion of the PHPTemplate version of bluemarine to work with the Smarty theme engine.

This is largely a result of an automated script I tossed together, please submit any issues.

Box_grey

Box_grey is intended to be relatively easy to modify for those that aren't competent in css positioning. It uses a hybrid CSS/table based layout designed to be fairly robust with different sizes of content and has a neutral grey colour scheme.

Currently box_grey is packaged with one theme-style variation called box_cleanslate.

Brushed Steel

Simple fixed-width rounded corners theme. Conventional palette of light background/dark text.

As it uses the JQuery port of Curvy Corners, which is LGPL licensed, jquery.curvycorners.js can not be bundled and will need to be downloaded separately (see README.txt for complete instructions).

Burnt Theme

This is a port of the "leaves" theme found on www.openwebdesign.org created by SmallPark. This is a fixed width 3 column layout.

Cms Theme

Inspired from www.evakoss.com we have prepared a Cms Theme, which is a
basic drupal theme, developed for Drupal-5 ver.

This theme is liquid with fixed sides bars and make theme support 2 or
3 column layout.

Contented7

This is a re-implementation of the Contented7 theme by Tom Rowan. This is a fixed width, 2 column layout. Parts of the design are ported from the K2 theme. Contended7 requires the PHPTemplate theme engine. It is now completely rewritten for Drupal 4.7.4 (16 Dec 2006), ported for Drupal 5.0 (18 Dec 2006), and valid XHTML 1.0 Strict (20 Dec 2006).

Democratica

This is the Democratica theme that is a part of the CivicSpace distribution of Drupal.

The author is Chris Messina (FactoryJoe), who also brought us the SpreadFireFox theme.

Note: this theme requires the PHPTemplate theme engine.

Enlight

This theme was inspired and mimics a theme off the OSWD website. It's a simple theme with room for customization. With less than 180 lines of CSS it is very easy for you to navigate around the CSS file. There is room to change the logo on the right, site name, slogan, and mission statement.

Fancy

This is a Fancy theme for Drupal, based on Bluemarine, it uses the PHPTemplate engine. A fancy look to your site, a colorful theme with graphical tabs,colored blocks etc.

Fern

A fixed-width CSS-driven Drupal theme that doesn't suck. In its author's opinion.

This theme builds upon Bluemarine, adding only those additional styles and changes required to make the leap from one to the other.

I hope it can serve as an example of how to make seemingly-radical theme alterations while (in this case) actually only altering about 40 lines of code.

FriendsElectric

FriendsElectric is a PHPTemplate-based theme designed for Drupal by Steven Wittens. It is tableless, uses semantic XHTML and fully supports all theme options (slogan, logo, primary/secondary links, etc).

This theme was analysed as part of the DrupalCon Theme Development presentation.

Golden Hour

In photography, the golden hour is the first and last hour of sun during the day when a specific photographic effect is achieved with the quality of the light during these hours. I created this theme during a golden hour when I should have been outside with my camera.

This is a two column theme.

Greeny_Blu

Greeny_Blu is a port of the Greeny_Blu theme available at OSWD.org.

The developer of this port is available for services and may be contacted via the contact form or http://www.ronsnexus.com/.

Interested individuals who would like to tweak this theme may make suggestions via the contact form.

Hunchbaque

This theme is ugly at first glance. Until one looks at the rendered source of a page that they can fully appreciate it. The idea was to create a theme that would make formatting the underlying XHTML and CSS easier for the pure themer and give them a fairly blank canvas to works with. Mosts default Drupal stylesheets are disabled by default and there are a few common workarounds already implemented.

Hopefully you will find it quite beautiful on the inside.

itheme

This is a port of itheme by Nick La. http://www.ndesign-studio.com

This is a port of K2 theme by Michael Heilemann and Chris J. Davis. K2 stands for Kubrick 2, and is the successor of that popular theme.

The design is 2-column and fixed width, using pure CSS and no image, although header image can be easily inserted via the stylesheet.

Kubrick

This is a port of Kubrick theme by Michael Heilemann. Kubrick has a beautiful fixed-width design. The typography and header image can be changed in the stylesheet.

Along with the launch of roopletheme.com, we're releasing the first alpha version of our new LiteJazz theme. LiteJazz is a beautiful theme that features 12 fully collapsible regions, fluid or fixed widths, easy configuration, and more. To take a look at LiteJazz in action, visit our demo site.

LiteJazz supports the configuration of theme options (like fixed vs fluid width) via the standard admin pages. In order for this feature to work, you will need to install and activate the ThemeSettingsAPI module. The theme will function without this module installed, but you will not be able to configure the exteneded theme-specific settings on the admin pages unless it is installed. A brilliant new theme ported by http://mydrupal.com & sponsored by Tech Jobs . Its features are

Nifty Corners

This theme is a port of Nifty Corners Layout by Alessandro Fulciniti (http://webdesign.html.it/articoli/leggi/528/more-nifty-corners/).

This theme is fixed width for 1024x768 resolution (960px for header image). It supports 3 columns layout and can be 2 columns if you disable the right sidebar. It supports logo/slogan/mission and looks ok in IE/Firefox.

If you are using Drupal in a subdirectory, maybe you need modify the css path in niftycube.js:

Ocadia

This is a port of the Ocadia Theme for Wordpress made by Beccary (http://beccary.com). Please note that this is a two column theme and the left and right sidebars appear on the right hand side of the page (left sidebar above right sidebar). PHPTemplate is needed in order to use this theme.

rdc*

rdc* is a port of the WordPress template by the same name. It was originally created by Jon Roobottom

The port was done by the guys at GoodBasic, and requires the PHPTemplate theme engine.

SEO Position - contributed theme

SEO Position decided to contribute their customised theme to the drupal community. The theme was originally based on the andreas01 theme, both the left and right sidebars are located on the right hand side of the content and a new region was added which spans both left and right sidebars.
Due to the constricted width of the content region some of the admin screens do not fit and is compensated by increasing the width, on certain admin screens, for accessibility of the admin functionality.

Simpla

This is a simple, clean design based on the Nista Theme.

Slash

The Slash theme is originally from Slashcode. I found a version for PHP-Nuke that I later converted to Postnuke and now to Drupal. I would call it a retro theme, it's certainly not modern or fancy.

The main style is dark red and there are additional styles that are, black, blue (MacSlash) and green (Slashdot). Tables are used for the three column layout, the main header and the header for nodes and boxes. For the rest CSS is used.

The 4.7 version of Slash is a PHPTemplate theme that works for both Drupal 4.6 and 4.7. Please try it and report any problems through the projects issue tracker.

Solarflare

The SolarFlare theme is a modification of the Foliage theme which is based on the Blue Marine theme shipped with Drupal 4.7. The theme has a fixed centred width, supporting screen resolutions of 1024 pixels and up. The theme validates, and is tested in major browsers.

SpreadFirefox

This is the theme for Spread Firefox. Its original contributed form needs much work but can serve as a foundation for other similarly purposed themes. It is tableless, uses semantic XHTML and fully supports most theme options (slogan, logo, primary links, etc).

It has been tested on IE6, Firefox 1.5 and Safari and requires the PHPTemplate theme engine.

Stylized Beauty

Stylized Beauty is a port of super j man's template of the same name which is hosted on OSWD. This template has been ported to Drupal 5.0 by ThemeBot. You can add dropcaps to the first letter in a paragraph by enabling full html during posting and spanning the letter with the class dropcap. Also, the sidebar can be moved to the left by making two changes in the style.css file. Add "float:right;" to #content and change #sidebar to "float:left;" Simple enough :)
