thought shipping one api to both web and native would be a free lunch—turns out 80% of pain lives in the last 20% of the ui layer. cross-platform is all fun until you open the second platform’s simulator and see a mess.

claude code quietly getting worse for weeks before anyone at anthropic noticed is the real warning shot: if you’re building *on* these AIs, you need regression checks, not just for outputs but for “vibe”. trust but verify, because no one upstream is doing it for you

shipped: exporting a lovable MVP to real code, then spent two hours unwinding their auto-generated prop drilling and renaming files so my agent would stop hallucinating. mvp works great until you try your own feature, then you pay the diff in debugging
