The account of this high energy, caring, playful culture will bring renewing laughter, tug on your heart strings, stretch your imagination, and lift you to new heights."
-- Ann McGee-Cooper, author of You Don't Have to Go Home from Work Exhausted and Time Management for Unmanageable People
"I luv NUTS! Kevin and Jackie Freiberg have captured all the delicious myth, disarming magic, and serious message of Southwest Airlines without reducing it to business trivia. A big-hearted book about a big-hearted company. Whether you're in services or manufacturing, profit or nonprofit, you'll learn how worth gets created by being worthy. Buy your own bag of NUTS!"
-- Jim Kouzes, co-author of The Leadership Challenge and Credibility, and chairman and CEO of The Tom Peters Group
"This book is about a community of people who experience the joy, fulfillment, and sheer fun of throwing caution to the wind and themselves into a life of unabashed passion. It's a crash course on management and entrepreneurship showing what risk taking and ingenuity combined can accomplish. NUTS! is about people who dare to love and who, in their loving, have found an aliveness that makes them more fully human. Light reading, but profound content."
-- Tony Campolo, author of Everything You've Heard Is Wrong and Carpe Diem
From the Back Cover
. . . A company that hires people who color outside the lines?

-- Warren Bennis, author of On Becoming a Leader
"I'd like to make a power pitch for NUTS! It does a great job of telling the inside story of the best bigger-than-Texas success story I know. All of us can learn from Southwest's fiercely competitive spirit and the way it treats employees and customers. Kevin and Jackie have hit a home run."
-- Nolan Ryan

This down-to-earth book offers valuable lessons about leadership -- and profitability -- to all who care about the future of their companies."
-- Rosabeth Moss Kanter, author of World Class: Thriving Locally in the Global Economy
"A wonderful book about spirit. The fighting spirit that kept Southwest going during the tough early years. The enthusiastic spirit that fuels the positively outrageous service by anyone who flies Southwest. The loving spirit that comes from the heart and enriches all they touch -- employees, customers, and the communities they serve. Read and tap into the power of the Southwest spirit."
-- Wally Amos, author of Watermelon Magic: Seeds of Wisdom, Slices of Life
"If you're interested in making your employees and customers raving fans of your business, NUTS! is a must read. Kevin and Jackie Freiberg reveal Southwest's success ingredients for building a company where people take personal responsibility for legendary customer service."

Great read for aviation enthusiasts.
Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2023This book contains alot of very interesting history and information about Southwest Airlines and how they got started and became as big as they are. It covers alot of the people who were there from day one and the struggles they endured in the early days. It was written in 1995 (I think) and republished in 97.

Great book, very interesting
Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2019The story of Southwest Airlines and how they came to be. Talks a lot about their core values and how their employees exhibit them. I identified a lot with this book and it is a pretty easy read. Not too long and full of great ideas!

Business, and life, is all about relationships
Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2020This book makes a great point about how life and any business is all about relationships and how you can best serve those within your influence. I only wish that it wasn't as long, or just as repetitive. As great as the many examples are to show you that you can apply these concepts to anything, it is a little long winded.
